It wasn't? "Ds games don't really have this infrastructure of account based purchases. Or not yet at least. All I'm saying is that there is a semblance of BC to ngp and that Nintendo will improve on virtual console [dsiware], we agree yes?" This was in regards to not that Nintendo didn't have download games, but a robust infrastructure of well, retail ds games like your spirit tracks, phantom hourglass and what have you. I think we agree here... |
If it was your intent to convey that, then it was unclear; what it says is that Nintendo does not have an infrastructure in place to facilitate account-based software purchases, which allows the moving of DSiWare, VC, and WiiWare games between consoles. The thing is that they do.
Now granted, "DS games" could mean retail games, but needing account-based purchases for retail games seems kind of backwards, since Sony doesn't tie your retail purchases to any account either. I'm sure Nintendo will let you buy your games again when they become age-appropriate for the Virtual Console.
