The appeal is similar to every other RPG - - You train your team and get stronger all while fighting for a specific purpose
It's better than other RPGs in that there are literally hundreds of characters to choose from for your team - I always liked RPGs with lots of characters to choose from and Pokemon takes that to a whole new level of freedom
You get to raise Pokemon as pets and friends throughout your journey and you get to watch them grow and evolve, basically everyone has their own fav Pokemon that they love the most
The series specific features like trading Pokemon with friends, capturing/breeding...etc are really what give the series it's unique appeal imo
I'm really hyped for Pokemon B&W - - - More than any other new gen in fact :)
