The main problem is what you compare it to. It's not that interesting to have the 3DS compared to nothing with 100% marketshare. All you'd get is a third huge blue pillar compared to nothing. It won't really show anything at all.
At the same time, it's not that interesting to compare it to the PsP and DS either, as it would be stuck at >1% marketshare for a while, being too small to be visible.
