I've hated IE since the days of Netscape. I went from Netscape to Opera to Firefox and now use a mix of Opera, Firefox and Chrome (mostly Opera)... but even I'll admit that IE9 is an immense improvement over past versions and makes it a viable alternative to other browsers on its own merits of performance and stability. My main issue with IE9 is that the area where open tabs are displayed is incredibly small and I usually have a few dozen open at any given time.

Netscape navigator was an awful browser.
