God of War 2 selling PS3's

I still have my PS2, I also have a PS3. I don't want to play any PS2 games on the 3 system. I don't want to "wear" it out. Benefits on the PS3? There might be some advantage on the PS3 but How much could it be? I thought the original GOW had amazing graphics.
