Modern warfare has substantial losses and you are right in the respect that it is quite alot of soldiers to lose in a week when compared to the situation in Afghanistan, but then again I don't think that the AU soldiers are anywhere as trained and have as sophisticated equipment as say the UN forces in Afghanistan, so it's sort of understandable but still a bit surprising. |
Indeed, but then again, we only know the losses of our troops. We don't really get figures of how frequently the Taliban take losses... and I'll imagine that it's probably a lot higher than ours.
