To me personally, this just looks so generic, the "modern warfare" stage is reaching the climax stage if anything, with the annual release of COD bombing our ears and now going completely modern, even Treyarch who have created the last WW2 COD game have decided to join in the modern fun. I think FPS genre as a whole is reaching that saturation point and needs something rather radical and revolutionary in terms of both gameplay and storywise like COD4 was, despite the modern shooters existing before hand I can't recall any game as well executed as COD4 was the first time I've played it. The graphics, the mechanics, the gameplay all were perfectly executed, this just looks like another COD clone. As much as I feel bad about the developer, Kaos, I just can't justify picking it up at the moment, with the recent slew of games and much more established and generally hyped games, this will lose price rather drastically.
I think this looks alike to the case of MoH - I am still not sure how the f*ck that game managed to sell so much, in my opinion it was probably one of the glitchiest/buggiest/poorly executed games last year, the only reason it has maintained price in the UK is because one of the retailers offered MoH £8 for Black Ops, which was a bargain at the time as COD games are usually overpriced in comparison with other new releases.
I am not buying it, but wouldn't rule out renting/borrowing it eventually.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
