It was Miyamoto. I was pretty oblivious to who it was that was making the games I was playing in the early part of my life (outside of obviously seeing Nintendo or Sega or whatever flash up at the start of games), and then in the mid 90s I started getting a Nintendo magazine here in the UK, and they had a feature on Miyamoto and all the things he'd done, and that's when I found out he was responsible for most of the games I loved.

The same magazine also put me onto Rare and the Stamper brothers.
