When Ninty and Sony think of their devices the first point of attack is games, that's the handheld's main feature.Everything is built around gaming and then stuff like photgraphs, chat, music, films etc, is thrown in.
Apple first seems to be concerned with how the thing looks and how many different thing they can get the thing to do through apps, from being a sat nav to a gaming device to turning on your coffee machine.

Go to PSP2 or 3DS homepage and gaming flies straight out at you.
Go to the iPod touch webpage and gaming is like down the list after video editing stuff.
For Apple iPod touch to be considered along with DS and PSP as a genuine gaming device is truly genius on Apple's part.
Saying all that, I play iPhone games and some are great, but yet .. a bonafide gaming device..I don't know, maybe I am missing something.
