| Galaki said: With recent comments directly coming from Sony confirming that PSP2 power lies between PSP and PS3, their plan to overtake 3DS is clear. Let's take a look at some various facts including the PSP vs. DS era. We know that DS overtake PSP because of the following: - 2 screens - touch screen Now, we look at known differences for where 3DS has advantages over PSP2: - 2 screens - 3D glasses display
We know that PSP2 will have more features than the 3DS except the 2 major weaknesses above. So, if Sony can remove those weaknesses, they surely will trump the 3DS. PSP2 comes with touch screen, but not it also take it up a notch with multi-touch. It even comes with back/side touch features. We can say that PSP2 is truly quite touchy.
But it still doesn't come with 2 screens like the 3/DS, its major weakness. As hinted by what they recently said, the PSP2 is really a combination of PSP and PS3. Now, imagine you using the PSP2 as the controller and the TV as your second screen. Technically, the PSP2 screen does what the bottom screen of the DS does while the TV is what the top screen of the DS does. But how would you connect the TV to the PSP2, you'd ask. Not only can you buy the PSP2, you can also grab a 50'' wireless TV to go with your PSP2. (You can buy a 24'' version if portability is your thing.) But, you'd say, the 3DS will have the advantage of backward compatibility. This advantage is neutralized since the PSP2 will be more than powerful enough to emulate all existing DS games since it's now a dual screens. But, what about 3D? That too, is easily covered by the Sony's wireless glassesless 3D TV.
With that said, the PSP2 is, in every possible way, overpowering the puny 3DS. |
it is a multitouch screen.. front and back
