There will always be people who want more "traditional" games. There are many fantastic franchises for Nintendo's and Sony's handhelds and those just won't be available on cell phones. (Except on the "PSP-phone")
Of course there are a lot good apps for cheap or free, but you can't compare those games to calibers like Mario, Zelda, Little Big Planet Portable and the like.
I for one don't like playing on my cell phone/smart phone, because I don't have the necessary data option in my contract. I already pay 70$ for my normal internet and don't want to pay an additional 55$ just for another data plan on my cell phone.
