I'm guessing they will delay this game until next year. because Sony have so many other releases that FF14 would have to contend with all those games. and i remember their was a big problem with the amount of RAM on the PS3, which led to 'bottlenecking' so i'm not quite sure how they intend to solve that problem if they're constantly changing and improving the games components.
but imo it will have to come out next year because the PS3 is the only thing that could possiblily save how negative FF14 was pericieved. a successful launch on the PS3 could change everything for FF14 and SE.
