Problem officer?

Bulletpoints?  Yes.  Bulletpoints.

  • Bullet sponges?  Have you played Uncharted 1?  THOSE bad guys could absorb some bullets!! In both Gears 1 AND Gears 2, if you reload your weapon right, aim for their legs (to cripple them), or go for headshots, your target goes down quickly.  Sometimes theirs a priest healing your enemies.  If you take the priest down first, your target will follow.  Plus, some foes are designed to go down in one shot.--And these are big hulking monsters, not humans. And some of those humans in Uncharted (in body armor or those supernatural guys) are STILL bullet sponges.
  • Versatility of Gameplay:  Maybe not so much in Gears 1 (although it was definitely there) but in Gears 2, the gameplay was changing every few minutes.  Every time you turn around, you were riding some sort of creature, flying through the air, defending some sort of machine, running through "Razor Hail", sneaking (yes, sneaking) through enemy territory, avoiding getting crushed in some sort of alien worm, or something like that. Plus, it had two player co-op! It was definitely more diverse than Uncharted.  And for the record, GeoW had their big "train scene" back in 2006 and their big "building collapse scene" in 2008.  Oh, and try planting a grenade on a wall as a trap or strapping it to a bad guy.  Halarity is guaranteed.
  • Stealth was added in Uncharted 2.  That came out after GeoW2.  Before that, enemies saw you before you even entered their line of sight.  There's stealth in GeoW2 thanks to the last DLC.  You think GeoW3 won't have this?  As for using stealth in Uncharted 2, yeah there were times you could take a couple of enemies out but it always turned into a fire fight.  Drake couldn't hide bodies.
  • Aside from Drakes climbing/platforming, the two games TPS mechanics are the same!  Cover, blind fire, diving, aiming, throwing explosives, weapon selection, leaping over obstacles, etc.  They are almost identical!  What sets them apart are the enemies you face which are inarguably more divers in GeoW's series.  And in GeoW, you can get into a chainsaw battle with another chainsaw wielding villain.  Every weapon has a different melee effect.  Every weapon from the torque bow to the hammer of dawn to the shotgun is different and effective--even the pistols are noticeably different.
  • The running mechanic will save your life.  Closing the gap on an enemy so you can melee, running to find cover, dodging "razor hail" so you don't get sliced to death, or avoiding being crushed by debris (or guts) inside of a giant rift worm.  It's valuable---especially in multi-player when you're racing for the good weapons.  Just because you don't use it, that doesn't mean it's useless!
  • The enemies (the elites, the priests, the grunts) are infinitely smarter than anything in Uncharted.  Some of them like tickers, boomers, grinders, and wretches are simply designed to run at you and kill but the other enemies have great AI.  Where did that comment even come from?
  • Geow's story IS interesting!  I'm dying to see how things play out.  As posted earlier, I think I already know how Uncharted 3 will play out.  Uncharted is a familiar story told very well.  Presentation is top notch and characters are likeable.  Gears story is an unfamiliar story told pretty good.  Presentation is also top notch and characters are more likeable than you think.

This post is too long as is.  I hope for some replies, though.  I enjoy the debate!
