but least I can drive while stoned as shit.

I'm fine with weed but driving high should not be allowed. I'll take your word for it that you CAN drive high but you SHOULDN'T.

And to answer the topic at hand I've only done weed twice. Once was a joint and once was from a bong. I know nothing about strains or anything, I'm a weed n00b.

I am glad you brought driving up.  I have a special video for you.  This is from the channel Speedvision.  While it is only one study the guy actually drove better while stoned.  Watch for yourself!

That's interesting, and I don't doubt some people drive the same (or better) while high; but it has different effects on different people and I'm sure many people become terrible drivers while high. Unless some study is done that shows the VAST MAJORITY of people can drive safely while high there's no way I would support it being legal (or at least not illegal) to drive while baked.

I am a supporter of legalizing weed, but I think it should be treated in a way like alcohol i.e. its cool to use at your own house or whatever but you can't go out driving afterwards.

Legalizing weed would make a ton of money, both from taxes and the money saved on needing less drug enforcement cops and having less people in jail for posession.

That tons of money would be offset by an even more increased health care cost. Then unemployment would rise ten fold due to people been fired from there job,due to being high and stoned at work. Most of your hard drugs and such have been outlawed in America since the 60's and it should stay that way. Hell,if it was up to me alchool would be outlawed. I'm sorry but I don't think going through life stoned and high all the time is okay,I've never done drugs, but I've seen the downside of it,due to family freinds being addicted to it over the years. Same goes for alchool. No amount of debating could convice me that smoking weed are any other kind of pot could be a good thing,so I'll just leave it at that and leave this thread.

How would they be fired if testing for THC metabolite would be dropped from drug screens if it was legal?  Problem with testing for a metabolite is that you can tell the person smoked but you don't know when they actually smoked.  It is like you get in an car accident and you show positive.  Does that mean you were high at the time?  No, it just means you smoked it within the past 2-14 days or so.  Some one can be very productive worker (I am, I work my ass off far more than almost any one at my current job, yet still smoke after work to relax or relieve soreness).  In fact there was a point in time that the only good hard workers at my job were stoners.

Also, health care cost of alcohol, cigarettes, and overweight people far outnumber marijuana smokers each individually.  Marijuana is far less addictive than alcohol and cigarettes.  Sure I understand you are hardliner against any drug but any type of argument you try to put a negative spin on marijuana I can rebut it.  Do we want everyone to get high while they preform their jobs such as doctors and airline pilots?  I am not even pushing for that.  However, if someone wants to unwind at the end of a long day at work by smoking some weed to condemn that is just pure bullshit (considering that person could get plastered off alcohol).  Then your airline pilot or doctor would show up to work hungover and problably do a half ass job of what they were supposed to.  If you smoke a shitload of weed chances are you will be 100% sober the moment you wake up (I've only woken up high 2-3 times in my life and that was from blazing far more than what the average smoker does).

I know you are hardliner against any drug.  However, you might eventually realize marijuana is far less dangerous than any other drug.  Find me a case where someone died from overdosing on marijuana...  Oh wait, sorry you can't because there are none.  Numerous people die each year from cigarette and alcohol related deaths yet you can't find any data about marijuana.  If there was such data the government would be shoving it our faces more.  Yet, they just show stupid commercials of teenagers driving over little kids in a fast food parking lot or someone shooting themselves in the head with their dad's gun.

I won't even breach the hemp topic much.  Hemp is the strongest natural fiber in the world.  Europe uses hemp for paper.  However, we have to chop down trees for ours.  The USA government went pro hemp during WW2 (encourage farmers to grow it) because they needed for rope for ships, etc...  Then once WW2 ended they went back to their anti hemp stance.  The government is just about protecting the industries to contribute the most.  Your government is corrupt and has told you lies your entire life.  Wake up!
