Batman Begins was nominated for Best Cinematography 

The Dark Knight was nominated for 8 Oscars! It won 2 one for sound mixing and Best Supporting Actor Heath Ledger. It should have been nominated for Screenplay, Director, and Picture too.

yeah certain type of films never get nominated for best film which is a shame i think
