Online generation could fit although the most popular console doesn't have much to offer for online.
The let's try everything and see what sticks generation, HD, 3D, motion controllers, camera controllers, guitar controllers, remakes of old games from HD upgrades to full remakes, dlc, downloadable games including full games, arcade, indie, prev gen, minis, episodic games. Miis, avatars, home, achievements, trophies, cross format online functionality, user created content.
It's definitely an exciting time with all the interface and content delivery experiments.
