What you didn't start on Wolfenstein 3d? Tis a shame..... Also, you failed to mention Duke Nukem 3d which was king of FPS for awhile back then (I prefered it over Doom). Also, Duke Nukem 3d evolved FPS a lot. All those gadgets he had back in the day added a ton to gameplay. For instance, the holo Duke.... When I was playing on my 14.4 or 28k modem back in day against my friend in Duke Nukem we would trick each other like crazy with that gadget. Put one in the elevator on our favorite level (Red Light District) and then you could hear them shooting at it before they came up the elevator. Also, put some pipe bombs hidden in the elevator (to the side) and then when they get in and you hear the elevator going up explode them. This was the "hidden room" in the porn store which had a window you could look out to the street.
