Your right he says if they do something special. But what does he consider special? He was refering mainly to consoles. Of course the next generation of consoles are going to do something special. Notice he says a thousand dollar investment in a next generation console.
He is very clearly saying to expect next gen consoles to be 800-1,000$ or he would not have made those comments. What are you saying that the next generation will not be special? If the companies do not do something "Special" then they will fail. What are they going to do, re-release the same hardware.
Any improvement over this generation is something special. If he didn't mean what he was saying he would have said so. Yet on more then one occasion he says 800$ to 1,000$.

Right now the Canadian currency is worth pretty much the same as the US Currency. At the time of the elites launch the Canadian dollar was worth alittle less but not too much. So mentioning Canadian prices shouldn't be all that too confusing. Now if the US dollar takes a dive then I will have to try talking in American dollars. But right now at virtual parity I can get away with it....or can I?
