Ps3 price drop/new model coming soon?

As I've been saying Sony is in desperate need to recoup the massive losses that the PS3 has generated, they are finding success at the current price point while making profit.  A Price drop just is a bad business decision.

They may drop the price just to introduce 3d into homes like  they did with the PS2 even though they were the market leader

3D in homes isn't going anywhere anytime soon.  3DTV sales are absolutely abysmal and we won't be seeing any true penetration into the mainstream market for AT LEAST another 2 years.  If for some reason Sony does drop price 3D will be the last reason on earth.  No one is going out and buying a PS3 for 3D.  Their buying it for blu-ray, and the awesome games library.
