I'm kinda fascinated with that stuff too (especially for myself, that's why i loved it when the Nintendo Channel added a means for tracking total playtime across your most-played titles), but with my consent and for my own purposes, and i voluntarily give that data to the Nintendo Channel (which warns me as such) |
Well, you technically do give Sony consent. It's just very very vague, and you have to agree to do it to even use your console. Though even then I coulda swore it said something like "the minium required information."
Yeah, I really like Consumer Science in general though... you know what i'd LOVE to get my hands on. The data from those little discount coupon cards. The cool infor you could learn. Do some products sell better on some days? Does a sale on cookies lead to an increase in Milk. Does moving some bannanas to the cereal Isle increase bannanna sales?
Those little coupon cards are like 70% of the consumer marketing companies used to do... for free... and better.
