Recently started over the Wheel of Time series again, as I stopped reading it for a while once I got to the 10th book, and figured it didn't do it much justice to just start again without really knowing what's going on.

Just finished the 2nd book (The Great Hunt), and have gotten a decent start on the 3rd book (The Dragon Reborn) in the last couple of days.  Something about the balance between everything in this series just makes me absolutely adore it.  The magic is absolutely fascinating, the relationships are marvelous (although I think they do get much better later on in the series), and other than the occasional wishing the series wasn't quite so long, I really do think its a masterpiece.

I sincerely hope that the 12th, 13th, and 14th books (which are written/to be written by Brandon Sanderson due to Robert Jordan's death), aren't too significant of a change in the series, as it really would be a let down to have the end of the series be so much different.

After I finish up on the currently written portion of this series, I'm intending on reading:

A Song of Ice and Fire

The Saga of Recluce

Harry Potter 1-7 (re-reading 1-6, have not yet read #7)

Along with a lot of others, but I seem to go on spurs where I will read 25-50 pages per day (such as now) and then times where I will go a couple months without reading...I'm hoping I can keep on my current pace because I have soooooo many books I want to read :)

The Wheel of Time started off great, but damn, it got so boring and it started to drag and then when I realised  I had like 12 more books to read in the series, I put it down and walked away.

A still need to read A Song of Ice and Fire and you should probably read the 7th Harry Potter book, especially when your probably the only one in the book reading world who hasn't yet.

Yea, with #7, I kinda figured as much, but similar to Wheel of Time, I want to re-read everything because it wouldn't do it justice to just pick it up and start reading it.

As for the Wheel of Time, I do think it slowly starts to get a little more boring each book.  But to compensate for that, the relationships, imo, get a little better each book, and some of the battles later on in the series are just plain amazing.  I also really think you should try reading it again, because once you get further into the series, despite a boring part here and there, there is always like 5 main plots and like 20 subplots going on that you want to know so badly how they will finish.

In regards to A Song of Ice and Fire...I've gotten like 50 pages in a couple times, but haven't tried very hard at all.  From what I've heard though, everybody says it blows The Wheel of Time away...although I am still just very addicted to the magic in The Wheel of Time.
