I would just like to remind people that Don Mattrick is running the 360 division. Guess where he was five years ago? Acting as President of Worldwide Studios over at EA, back when everybody hated EA. Guess who was in charge of the 360 division five years ago, when they were announcing awesome IPs left and right? Peter Moore. Guess where he's at now? EA, who have since done a complete 180 in terms of development culture (the EA Partners program being the most notable result of that).
From 2000-2006, EA were getting a lot of shit for closing or merging many studios they owned (most notably Westwood Studios). This trend simply followed Mattrick to his new home, and it's lead to where MGS are today.
