I also got a Halo Encyclopedia for Christmas from a friend, and it is a very interesting read, the amount of avenues that they could take is just unbelieveable. I have never realized the spectrum of Halo universe until I read both the encyclopedia and the novel.

I've read the first 3 books. I actually hoped that Halo: Reach would be based on the first book after the first teaser. It turned out good nonetheless but it could've been so much more had they made the first book into that game IMO.

Ikr, I played the game then read the book, so I was like wtf that wasn't in the game YOU LIE BUNGIE YOU LIE!

Besides, there were 30 something Spartans down on the planet, so about 5-6 squads, easily 2-3 Halo games in there too
