Definitely lame. I think it's true though.
Way back when the game modes were announced, I was irritated bc I thought GG was going to try to load a bunch of different modes into this game to try to pull in as many ppl as possible. But they really didn't seem to add all that many modes since KZ2. One of the funnest things when you have a friend over is to be able to play a game together, but it seems GG made that possible with the campaign only.
What GG does have in the game in regards to multiplayer is quality from what I hear; but, I think they need to rethink their strategy in regards to the QUANTITY of multiplayer and especially co-op and split-screen modes/options if they really want to start pulling in more fans. Like someone else said, I think they maybe tried to rush the game a little. But next time, I think if they want to attract a lot more fans, they really need to just load the game with a bunch of different game modes. I really want Sony to find their "Halo" fps game (not meaning a Halo copy, just mean in terms of sales) that sells boatloads and brings in lots of new fans to the ps3. I think GG can make that game, they just have to strive a little higher and provide more bang for the multiplayer buck.
