I am pretty sure this has been said before but Square Enix put a lot of money on PS3, and from what I have heard Japanese tend to stick with only one console, so Wii's success is bad news to PS3 and S-E. I think that a year or two from now, when Wii's user base becomes even larger then S-E will change its tune pretty quickly.
I am pretty disappointed with Square Enix. They have spent most of their time remaking and porting their old games, and Final Fantasy series has considerably declined in quality. Yes, the graphics were improved and I actually liked FFXII's combat system but the game was nothing but a shallow attempt to repeat the success of older FF games. SE needs to stop rehashing old ideas and create some new franchises and end them before they get stale.
