It's an amazing book. I've been waiting for about four years for The Wise Man's Fear and I intend to pick it up on the release date. Patrick has to be one of best fantasy authors to pop up in recent years, I just hope that his third book doesn't take another four years to release. |
It's hard to explain why the book is so good because just thinking about it, it shouldn't be good. Patrick Rothfuss is just such a good writer that he makes this over-the-top unbelievable legend of a guy likeable that any other writer would make a complete douche. Actually, Kvothe can be kind of douche and full of himself but Rothfuss somehow makes him incredibly human and you want to like him and know what happens next.
As soon as I picked that book up I didn't do anything else for about three or four days because I just couldn't put it down. I cannot stress enough how good of a book that is.
