Just a little context. The Snes came out two years after the Genesis. The N64 came out a year after the PS1. The PS2 came out a year after the Dreamcast. The Gamecube/Xbox came out a year after the PS2. And, of course, the PS3 came out a year after the 360. Historically, with a few exceptions, the newer hardware should always out-perform the older hardware quite noticeably.
