I see the hacking community and sony haters are bringing "interesting" excuses now...
You are allowed to hack your system. Sony allows you to do it : fact.
Read their official statement again, they allow it. You are just not allowed to use the PSN, that's all, which should be understandable to your brains considering (otherwise) it will allow you to play unfairly.
If Sony wins this nothings going to happen to your PS3. Their official statement will contradict if they change it and they are in a weak position as it is, so they can't afford to lose fans anymore than they have.
