This is nothing new on a Nintendo console. Gamecube was up there and even better then PS2 hardwarewise and it sitll didn't get ports.
The fact is 3rd parties are pissed with the Wii that it took off. No one expected it to be market leader. By then no one wanted to support it.
Will next gen Nintendo be any different? Who knows. If history has a say then no.
Wii sale have just declined to normal figures now. It is date tech too like has been said so unless the great games stay on shelf to attract new sales, it isn't going to increase to UNBELIVEABLE sales again.
