Not purchasing a console as oppose to not being interested in its library is 2 different thing. As a non fanboy gamer, its pretty much a non sense if you arent interested by the library of each consoles. They all have great titles in all genres. Though, this doesnt mean you have enough time or money to justify purchasing them all, especially if theres only 3-4 games your very interested in.

Most game players play games entirely unrelated to the games Sony has released, it is very fair to say that much people wouldn't give a second thought to the games Sony has released.

I said library not just Sony's first party. Like I already said, they all have great titles in all genres. Anyway, even if I was talking solely of Sony, they have release so many different games in all genres that it makes no sense saying most gamer play games entirely unrelated.

Just in case: "While the term nominally includes those who do not necessarily consider themselves to be gamers (i.e., casual gamers),[1] it is commonly used to identify those who spend much of their leisure time playing or learning about games."

I am obviously talking of the latter.
