Then say the sports franchise!

Kinect Sports is competing with other Kinect games, when you get the available ground that Wii has on Kinect then compare it to Sports resort. But hey lets play it your way.

the attachment rates on either are 3.4 for resort and 3.13 for sports. Kinect Sports is holding well and truly its own.

MS released 2 launch titles, one came with the game, they wanted to release it before christmas. MS is also very strong on their 3rd party. Games will be coming you just have to wait. The first killer app for Sony was prob uncharted or LBP or ratchet and clank whatever came first, Xbox was Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect or Bioshock again whatever came first. Killer apps are very very rarely part of a launch line-up.

I will accept the fact that there is no reason why any piece of hardware doesn't have the potential to have a killer app.  I will certainly wait beyond 4 months.  But until then, I say this hardware is only representative of an initial hype, not because of excitement about the sales-dwindling software.

Secondly, I'm not trying to play it my way.  Sorry if it came off that way.  But I think it's clear that Wii Sports is 4 yrs old and with it's latest reincarnation being out way before Kinect Sports came about, the competition was with the only game that proved it was a killer app by not being a pack in - Sports Resort.

Also, this may be an entirley seperate discussion, but why is Kinect not selling in Japan?  Is this because of MS having an already dissatisfactory response in Japan, or is it because there is something different about Kinect Sports than either Wii Sports games.  Because somehow both Wii Sports sold very well in Japan.
