At this point in time I think the 3DS is reasonably priced, with reasonably priced software, will have games I am interested in at (and soon after) launch, and has several games on the horizon which I am interested in; therefore I will be getting a 3DS.
In contrast, I don't know what the NGP or its software will cost (and I have a feeling it will be expensive), and I don't see any software I am interested in; therefore I have yet to see anything that would make me commit to buying it, or to see any reason to own it yet.
