Anyone else gonna stop buying games or at least tone down the purchases for awhlie for whatever reason, either because of a lackluster year of gaming/lack of funds, or both?

Wow, you're talking about possibly the strongest year in the history of gaming.
Zelda Sword Mass Effect 3 Skyrim Portal 2 Gears of War 3 Uncharted 3 Batman Arkam City Dark Souls Rage Battlefield 3 Assassin's Creed 3 LA Noire Killzone 3 Dragon Age 2 Forza 4 The Cursed Crusade The Witcher 2 Duke Nukem Forever Deus Ex 3 Total War Shogun 2 Infamous 2 Guild Wars 2 Might & Magic: Heroes VI Twisted Metal Tob Raider Crysis 2 Mortal Kombat and possibly The Last Guardian
(I'm glad Skyrim is high on your priority list though )

Also thats just the games we know of being released this year. What about the Nintendo and Microsoft games that they are holding back for E3. Then their all the other games announced at E3 it seems that almost every year these days is yet another massive year for gaming.
I can't wait to see what Nintendo and Microsoft have yet to announce for this fall/winter!

Pretty sure you are going to be disapointed with MSes annoucements, best case senario 2 kinect games that will release by the end of the year that we don't know about, MS just doesn't have the devs

Well I bet I will too, their is a project coming from Rare which I hope is Banjo , Conker or Perfect Dark. But since they just fired most of Rare's art team it sounds like the studio might be going from creating games to apps. I wish Microsoft tried to revive Rare. Or Microsoft could at least out source some of Rare's IPs to other internal studio's or maybe even liscense it to a third party like Nintendo did with StarFox and Donkey Kong.
