Basic rule of life is: If people who do things that other benefit from, don't eventually get compensated for doing it, they will stop doing it. I have not pity, no anger or finger wagging at the electronic games industry if they decide they don't want to do PC gaming because of piracy. They have every right NOT to produce content, if they have a more viable platform, that is easier to code for.
I also, however, I have no pity for an industry either that would, if it had its druthers, NOT produce demos, not allow rentals, nor allow people to trade in a license they have they no longer want.
