I'm not. Everyone can win or lose, regardless of their skill, in a good/bad enough day. Heck, even different cars can mean a very different outcome, even if you have good skills.

Case in point, I can make an extremely good lap on the Nürb with the GT-R '07 with any kind of tyres, but if I choose the GT-R Nür (R34), I can barely keep the car on track. 

There are a lot of factors which decide the outcome of races, and while I don't disagree that skill takes up for the majority of those, it alone isn't enough sometimes.
