For the GT5ers/ex-GT5ers:
Patch 1.06 hit, exp/race has gone up a lot. For example, if I grind Dream Car Indy for 15 hours I can go from lvl 38.5 to lvl 40; before this needed two 24 hours of Le Mans races.
With the new patch, it *may* be possible to only have to race each race once to lvl 40, if that's any incentive for ppl to jump into GT5. Be warned though, that'd still take 100 hours, before you even think about license tests and special events and B-spec and getting 1000 cars.
edit: overestimated experience... ETA is 25 hours to get my last level and a half.
