Ended up using Wesker/Dormammu, Hsien-Ko, Deadpool. Everyone uses Dante, so punishing him with Wesker is a blast.

Last but not least, I am horrible at the game. Its nothing like Blazblue, which is the only other real fighting game I ever played enough to be competitive with, but the game is a blast to play. Am really glad that Deadpool turned out to be so well-rounded . . . he's a long range machine with some good up-close attackas too (Chimechangas!!)

Wesker's assists are terrible ...

From what I've seen in videos Wesker's assist where he shoots on the ground is very good at picking up a fallen opponent to continue a combo.

I know, but Jaguar kick is awful, and if you want to air combo ghost butterfly won't get you anywhere. It does work well for pulling people into Dormammu or Deadpool's special tho, but Hsien-ko gets nothing out of it. Also ... still haven't really figured out assists. Are they best used BEFORE a combo, DURING a combo, or AFTER? I mainly mean ones like Wesker's jag kick and deadpool's katana-rama...but all assists in general :/

Also, the 360 joystick makes mixing up special moves (not special attacks) very frustrating. Don't get me wrong Dormammu, I love to use the black hole attack, but sometimes I want to use purification, ya know?

Got it Tuesday but I've had the plague so haven't really played much.

What little I've played I like but man, I need to get better.  I've been using the Phoenix along with Ryu and whoever else I feel like to build hyper meter but it can get rough getting to level 5 since I'm not good at combos.  I haven't played online yet, I want to get to where I can beat hard and I'm still having trouble with medium.

Can't beat hard, trouble with normal? ... finally someone who is in the same position I'm in :D
