I personally think that Sony was kind of forced to do that, in order to diferentiate itself. Nintendo doesn´t need to get new IPs. If I have a brand wich sells at least 10 mil copies everytime it´s on the cover of a game, why bother? And MS strategy seems to rely on their popularity in US, granted by Halo, LIve and now, it seems, Kinect. That´s why they cut so many studios, they probably thought they were spending too much for little gain. While Sony needs new IPs to try and atract gamers looking for something new. I just think this is the best scenario for us gamers. Who can complain about Heavy Rain, Uncharted, infamous, LBP and other great new IPs we got this gen? |
I think its SONY style of doing things.
Us gamers like the same thing, but we need to get into new things thats what sony is for.
