Netflix and Hulu already confirmed their legitimate apps are on the way.
Not sure how tiles are more simplistic than icons... beyond that they are way less on screen due to size of tile vs size of icon... but I'll take widgets over tiles any day.
Plus, real multitasking, faster response, etc.
Basically, I have a real computer in the palm of my hand while iOS and WP7 peeps have 'smartphones'.
