@ Mr Khan  I don't see how Kurenai's character was destroyed.  If anything, what happened gives her the juicy backstory that Asuma didn't have.  She has to raise a child alone and the man she loves is gone.  This actually can make her a tougher character.  

I feel like her character was destroyed because her genjutsu got owned by itachi's lol. Now shes just "the mother of asumas son" When she could have been "the best genjutsu ninja in the leaf" Since no one else is any good at genjutsu anymore.

This, mostly. Given my fandom of Other M, i don't like to pitch the sexist card that easily, but when one of your few strong female characters is reduced to strictly "the pregnant chick," losing all of her badassery in the process, i would think that calls for ruination
