Nintendogs is an amazing game for the audience it's catering to. That's why the DS is a success, because it had games that would sell systems, such as Nintendogs or Brain Training. These games sell in the tens of millions. AND they sell systems in the tens of millions.

And those types of games sell just as well on the Wii, the console.

The Wii and DS have their own best sellers. The Wii has its own unique games that are best sellers. Both the Wii and DS have established their own franchises while also offering Nintendo favorites.

And those types of games sell just as well on the Wii, the console.

What types of games? You mean like Pokemon or Animal Crossing or Brain Training? Because none of these games had big success on the Wii because they were never designed for the Wii.

The DS has its own games which sell best on the DS because they were designed for the DS and portable gaming.

There tons of games designed for both DS and Wii that sell nothing, it's about the market, the types of gmaes you release. The Conduit was designed for the Wii, Scribblenut was designed for the DS, but did it sell tens of million.

The Wii sells a type of games, The DS too. The PSP only caught on in japan with tons of games made for it, but it was its control that messed it up for me. I feel NGP is fixing that.

I would add piracy to the problems. The controls, piracy and horrible marketing on Sony's part cut down the potential of the psp. As for NGP, so far so good. I like how a next gen handheld actually adds something to gameplay mechanics.
