Québec > Canada

No I kid! I like to laugh of sovereignists.

But really here in Québec, many people don't even actually speak English. Montréal is an exception of course.

My mom doesn't speak English at all as well as my grandparents.

Ya damn right you're kidding! I hate Quebec. We should just let them separate already and after a year they'll be begging to re-join Canada.

Most people here don't want to seperate from Canada. It's just that the ones who want are the most vocal.

Yah every time their is a vote to seperate the people of Quebec vote not to. Yet the sepratists try again and again to leave Canada. Quebec would not last long as a seperate state, first they do not count for much of the income coming into Canada, no oil , huge forests, minerals. Quebec would need to rely on manufacturing and what little resources they have. Then Quebec would need to invest millions if not billions in creating a new currency, new Government jobs, new embassies and foreign delegations. Quebec would go broke very fast it would also need to start trading with Canada, USA and any other country it could because they would need to import almost everything.

In the end I love Quebec I don't want it to leave Canada, if it did it would really devestate Quebec and I could see it either joining the US or merging back with Canada. Sort of pointless and it would damage both Canada and Quebec.

As for speaking english, don't worry here in BC we all have to learn french in school. But only a few years out of high school and I don't remember shit. I can barely count to twenty let alone carry on a conversation. But being Canadian is more then what language we speak, its deeper then that.

Oh believe me Québec would be very much fine when it comes to its economy. Ever heard of Hydro-Québec?

Hydro-Québec is the largest producer of electricity in Canada and the fourth largest producer of hydroelectricity in the world.

And we have miles of forests.

That's definitely not the part that's worrying me the most about seperating from Canada.
