That's the problem though. If the publishers are choosing* to develop for the 3DS over other platforms, it will be because of the 3d effect. Because of that initial choice, they will not, in general, end up choosing to utilize the motion sensing capabilities as much as developers who develop for the NGP.
It's a shame because I really don't feel motion technology has been utilized in a spectacular fashion yet on the portable platforms. It's almost like we are skipping a generation of technology that hasn't had time to shine... but it will have a greater chance to shine on the NGP.
Remember, Nintendo can not risk taking in developers who DON'T want to use the 3d aspects in full. Because the customers of that 3d platform are expecting titles to utilize such technology when they made the 250 dollar risk in the first place. My prediction stands: We won't see the motion technologies shine on the 3ds very well...unless there is some genius outside-of-the-box idea to coherently combine the two.
