the problem with sacred is more the fact that you have to read 90% of the quest dialogues..... I'm not lazy but like you said that game has a poop load of quest and sidequest..... I ended up spending more time reading about joe loosing his daughter in the mountain on the other side of the map when she actually got kidnapped by the ghost of her jealous husband on the island far up north that was killed by the wife of the guy she was cheating with in the village down south or something of that order.... I mean most of the quest and side quest had substance and were actually funny the game looks nice.... but I was reading more lines a day than when I read a book... more naration frome actors would have put that game in my favorites RPG list in a heart beat.... unfortunately I don't have the time to play games where I spend that much time reading anymore
and I wonder why they don't do RPG like boarderland concept derived into JRPG or fantasy RPG... the concept can work great with all kind of RPG once you split the screen.. and actually open the door to crazy quest... imagine a full co op RPG with a story line like lord of the ring... where the players guet split up and you have to work together on other side of the kingdom to finish the game....
