You said 3DS has the stuff to encouraging taking it with you and sharing stuff... but I think NGP has that too. Sony talked up something like that, about seeing what games people are playing around you and then being able to buy it straight away. I think the sharing content sort of stuff is coming just not been talked about much.
I think initially both devices are aimed at very different audiences. NGP seems to be targeting the 360/PS3 type demographic, 26 year old average gamer who buys COD, GTA, AC. Whereas 3DS is aimed more at the Nintendo type audience and younger gamers, and I think it'll be a year or so before the consoles target markets really start to overlap.
