I'm actually intrigued in the SP. If it presents a good human side to the story it could be great. I get a sort of Half Life vibe from what I've seen in the sense that you're going to play a role in this resistance and people might have heard of your triumphs and will react to you as such. But if it just focuses on all our action I think it will just blend in amongst the ocean of other military shooters out there lately. P.S. I'm not stalking you. I guess you share interest in similar topics to me. |
Blatantly stalking me haha. This will definitely be blown out of proportion by the media I think, but at the end of the day, I know of noone in particular who would actually be deterred from buying a game just because media said it's evil, if anything, it'll just put the spotlight on the game itself and provide free advertisement. To an extent I thought that the game looked too generic in it's early stages, but recently I am beginning to come around and contemplating whether to purchase it or not. Definitely not first day buy for me, but an eventual one down the line. I don't know what they'll do to the story that any other FPS already didn't. COD even managed to destroy the international space station.
I guess what's really interesting is the fact that the conflict is based around real countries that one could argue are experiencing tensions of sorts, I really doubt that America are too keen on North Korea, chances are Fox will roll out the propaganda machine and a boatload of redneks will buy it to kill some Japs. (I know I said Japs, but it's the rednecks we're talking about after all). I'd bet that this game will cross at least a million by year's end, especially with the help of those bundles :p
By the way, I don't think I met a game that can parallel the SP FPS experience I had with Half Life :p Except for maybe COD4.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
