Ah love the new layout.  Makes it easier to figure out what is close to a million.  Great work.

And to spark some discussion, with February 2011 releases, should probably discuss which ones will hit the million.  Personally I see Killzone 3 hitting it along with Bulletstorm on 360, but not the PS3 version.  PS3 version maybe in the long run but not seeing it happen within the year.  Then MvC 3, I think can do it on both versions.

De Blob 2 also comes out on a host of platforms.  Hard to tell with this one as the Wii version of the first one was highly successful but not really seeing a huge marketing push for the title.  Selling on the brand alone will be hard especially off the Wii (and even on the Wii as it came out awhile ago).  Then the biggie of 3DS releasing in Japan.  Expect the system to do well with Professor Layton, Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Nintendogs and Cats, and Samurai Warriors leading the way for software.  Cant say if any will hit a million within the year though.

Well thank you for the compliment. I think it's great as well. ^_^

As for February releases, we still have the NA release of Mario Sports Mix, which should push it to a million in no time. I really don't see de Blob 2 hitting the million mark on any console, in fact I see it doing worse than de Blob (.84 million) on any single console (I see it doing ~.75 million on the Wii). KillZone 3 should be an easy million, although it may take longer than KillZone 2 to get there.

For MvC3, I see it pulling somewhere between SFIV and SSFIV numbers, which means that it'll hit a million on the PS3 in a couple months, and maybe hit a million on the 360 sometime down the road. We'll see though.

As for the 3DS, I haven't really been paying attention to the Japanese launch this month. Nintendogs and Cats should do well, and I think Pilotwings Resort will do well too. Professor Layton and SSFIV will be the most successful 3rd party launch titles methinks...

So yes, pretty much what you said.

@VXIII

You made that? Great job, I have to admit I was enamored with it as I placed it in the thread.

Ah I forgot all about Mario Sports Mix.  Of course now with it out in Europe and America, it should be able to climb to a million, even if it won't be as explosive as other Ninty titles.

De Blob 2 is a tough one to tell.  It was rather successful on the Wii, but it did release closer to the holiday season which helps.  I think the issue with this game is that it was successful, but in a way where it didn't build up a brand name for itself.  Maybe a reason why it is releasing on multiple platforms this time as it is trying to establish itself as a large and prominent platforming franchise.  Just hasn't gotten that same luxury as the Rabbids game built up on the Wii which is one of its most recognized 3rd party franchises.  Not that De Blob can't obtain this, but THQ is going to have to put a lot more effort in it to achieve it.  Personally, I think another Wii-exclusive one would help especially if it uses the new drawing tablet they released.

KZ3 obviously an easy million seller, but I think it is correct to see that it isn't building up the same hype and appeal as the last one did.  Maybe it has to do with KZ2 itself or possibly the rise of other shooters since KZ came out such as Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor, and notably Modern Warfare 2/Black Ops.  So while a still big release, it may be clouded by other more prominent shooter franchises despite having that exclusivity tag on it.  Agree with pretty much everything stated about MvC 3 though.

Yea 3DS launch in Japan for the month is short as it releases at the end but obviously Professor Layton and Nintendogs and Cats are the big ones with the former going to light up the first week charts the most.  But SSIV 3D may be able to surprise us as how well it does as it has gotten a lot of recognition since it was first announced as a premiere 3DS game.  Pilotwings also has that same chance.
