HOw is this game dumbed down? Have you played it? I do agree that mass effect 2 featured zero micromanagement which was a huge letdown for me, I really wanted them to expand the loot system and how much you can really customize a character, maybe theyll change their minds for 3 due to how poorly (imo) mass effect 2 still sold despite their obvious casual approach. Dragon age 2 doesnt seem to be going down this path, they are refining the conversation system and polishing the combat system which seems miles ahead of dragon age origins, and I platinumed that game because of how much I enjoyed it. The only thing that held it back was the robotic animations during conversation and during combat, where characters had to be in the perfect position to attack and would shuffle for what seemed an eternity (on the hardest difficulty this can be the difference between winning and losing, no joke). From everything ive seen theyve simply upgraded presentation, while refining, not removing, the micromanagement aspects that made dragon age origins a hardcore gamers game. GIve it a chance. Try it on pc as well, that seems to be what youre looking for, a challenge. You havent even played it yet. |
You didn't play it on PC, so you wouldn't understand how the combat is potentially being dumbed down. We'll see when I actually play it, but early statements/videos are not a good sign for those of us who played the real Dragon Age Origins on PC.
