The finalists for the 2011 Indie Game Challenge have been announced. One winner in the Professional and Non-Professional category will each be taking home 100 Grand! The winners? Professional: To no surprise, Limbo and all the people from Playdead. Limbo also took home the award for Achievement in Art Direction. Non-Professional: This one was more surprising, the winner is Inertia which you may have seen on Microsoft’s Indie Games Channel, Intertia. The game was created by an eight person team over at the Guild Hall and is a 2D physics based platformer. This game also took home 3 other awards; Technical Achievement, Achievement in Gameplay, and Gamer’s Choice Award. It’s nice to see some Xbox Indie Games being recognized for their innovation! Congrats this years Winners and Finalists! http://loveassassin13.wordpress.com/2011/02/11/indie-game-challenge-winners/
