This thread is hilarious.  Some people are SO emotionally invested in hating a specific company they can't objectively look at anything that company does without some Pavlovian reaction to just dump on any news from them.

"Hey, did you hear? Microsoft just cured cancer."

"What?!?  What are all the cancer treatment centers going to do now?  Won't they all go out of business?  Microsoft sucks!!"

This goes beyond video games people.

This thread is hilarious. Some people are SO emotionally invested in supporting a specific company they can't help but take umbridge to people who don't feel that way and have there own Pavlovian reaction to defend any news from them and paint nay sayers as being anti microsoft, both types are two sides of the same coin the wreckers and defenders with every one else in the middle.

PS, i think it is a smart move by MS and they are now well positioned.

Oh come on, did I praise this decision and hail the all mightly Microsoft?  I didn't even give an opinion on the actual news itself.  However when I hear something like "I love Nokia phones.  Now they've partnered with Microsoft they suck and I won't buy their phones anymore."  then it's clearly a case of being anti-Microsoft and not because of any reasonable opinion the what this partnership can actually mean.

For the record though I think it'll be good for both companies.  For what it's worth I have an iPhone although I've been unhappy with it since the move to OS4, it's been very slow.

I just not buying more Nokia phone because I like Symbian... that's nothing to do with Microsoft.

After Symbian the only other OS intersting for me is iOS... so I will buy an iPhone in future.

I hope Nokia support the N8 (Symbia^3) more 2 years with good updates.

What is your experience with WM7?  What is it that you don't like about it?  In what ways is Symbian superior?
